About gina

Empecé con la acupuntura como mucha gente, como parte de una búsqueda de sanar dolor crónico en mi propia vida.

I came into acupuncture like many people have, on a journey to understand and heal chronic pain in my own life. Unlike most people in the U.S., however, I was fortunate enough to study in a traditional Chinese apprenticeship for two years in Lancaster, PA with the most skilled acupuncturist I have yet to meet- Min Xiong. Apprenticeship is the traditional way that acupuncture and East Asian Medicine was taught for millennia. Though I also received a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture at the Won Institute in Glenside, PA, I feel it was this apprenticeship that gifted me with a humble marvel at the body and at the depth of Chinese medicine. My experience during those years truly set the foundation of my relationship to this medicine.

Throughout my life I have lived in many different countries including parts of Latin America, Spain, and China and my broad definition of health and its relationship to community is deeply informed by these places. In my practice, though I feel the pulse and look at the tongue, I trust my hands and listening skills as my primary tools in learning about disharmony in the body and evaluating improvement throughout treatments.
I strongly believe that healthcare is a human right, and wish to do what I can to support whoever comes in for treatment. If you have any issues with financial access, please share that with me so we can work something out.
