Your first appointment will include an evaluation and most likely the insertion of acupuncture needles which are sterile, solid, flexible needles the thickness of a human hair, are single use and come in sterile packets. Some parts of the body elicit more sensation while on other parts of the body you likely won't even feel them. Most people report feeling a sense of calm and many even nap on the treatment table. You should plan to be at your first appointment for a little over one hour. I ask that you do not come on an empty stomach and that you wear loose fitting comfortable clothing. If you are actively sick or have cold symptoms, please contact me before coming in. Depending on what you are hoping to address we may be working together weekly for a series of sessions or only as needed. Treatments include any of the following modalities: acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, bodywork, and nutrition counseling.
